Yeah, my side will often times use guns. How is that going to work on here?
I have two suggestions.
1. They will work as any real bullet would, by doing the same damage the said gun would IRL.
or
2. Bullets do significantly less damage here, though I don't like this one very much.
If we go with number one, I suggest that we have set places where a person's soul can return to their body, as an inbetween spot between being dead and alive. I'd say that would take very strong magic to do so.
OR
We could have a no kill rule on XIN, where every player character will just end up being pretty damn tough, and even if they are electrocuted by magic or blow holes through their chest with guns they'll manage to live as long as the player can be creative enough.
I personally support my reason #1 with explanation of number 2. This of course is open to suggestion, but what do you guys think?

I'm thinking the same, but the only differeniation I can see would be to use explanation one as a back up idea.
Characters can be realistically killed in theory, but their uncanny survival abilities prevent such death; however, in the event that your opponent is so skilled at deception that you're forced to "die," each and every nation has their own way of explaining a character's rebirth. The Lucians could have some major "spirit quest" that eventually leads to a rejuvenated form, the Shusseis could implement cloning or bionic technology, and the Bremelians could implement replaced limbs and revival technology.
Not sure what to think of that, but hell, it's a thought.

I'm down for that but it kind of messes with a future plan of mind. Does this account for npc's as well because I'm sure that this npc would be brought back and that just can't happen. Otherwise I like it.

I would think it matters on the person being returned. If, for example, a character on Lucia died, they would have to have a sufficiently strong spirit in order to return. If it's an NPC, they usually won't have that kind of strength.
The reincarnation should be difficult, in theory, so as to keep the nations from just reproducing slain armies and sending them right back into battle, and instead make it only a select few with sufficient willpower/strength/whatever, (the roleplayers), are able to be resurrected.

I highly doubt there's any real chance of a casual NPC to pass through whatever costs there are to resurrection. As we all know from legend and myth, the escape of the Underworld, Hell, Heaven, or any other afterlife is extremely difficult even in our world. The idea of just anyone returning from the dead would seem crazy.
For Lucia, it'd be a journey most likely similar to the Odyssey; for Shussei, it'd most likely cost millions of credits to pay for nerve-sensitive technology, something only worthy of particular persons (PCs); in Bremelia, since it'd currently be in a state of depression, it'd be near impossible to afford official reconstruction of someone other than a playable character.
Hence, common sense and realism lock out the NPC factor.
