The small, rundown clinic was enough to make Melchior go stir-crazy over his roughly month long recovery. Over that time, he learned that he had been dragged in by three armed men and left there supposedly to die, but his physical recuperation was astounding. Within an hour, all the wounds had closed themselves, the bruising and swelling and his nearly 110degree fever was gone. All the doctors had to do was wait for him to wake up. Three days later, Melchior's eyes fluttered open and he automatically turned, sat out of bed and began to walk out. Unfortunately, for him, his body was not fully healed and this tall, lean man took a header into a nearby gurney.
He spent his days talking to the doctors and nurses, gaining what little information any of them had about what was going on in the world. He was shocked to find that he was missing more than just the three days he was unconscious in the clinic. A whole two years were missing from his memories. The last thing he remembered was the battle just east of Haikyo and that he was captured by, who he figured to be, the enemy. He decided that the people that captured him must have been the ones to have wiped his memory and the very same ones that left him to die in this clinic.
The sun was blinding as he took his first steps outside in three days, his right hand automatically coming up to shield his eyes from the glare until they got used to the brightness. He stood in the doorway a few moments, allowing his eyes to adjust, before lowering his hand and walking down the street into only God knows what would meet him. The street was dirty and cluttered with junk; not necessarily garbage, just stuff. The stuff was that of old crumbled buildings and newer-looking left overs from construction sites that never quite made it to completion. People walked these streets calmly, going about their daily business, and children played the same games children play the world over. One group of boys were dodging in and out of a half-finished warehouse shouting "Bang!", playing a game of war that would help their minds and bodies for the rough-and-tumble real world that waited for them.
The wind picked up and fluttered Melchior's hair and the jacket around his waist. He breathed deeply and sighed, looking up to the immense collection of skyscrapers that is Babylon City, just then getting a feeling that he had been there before and that he was being watched...

Asko was leaning back against the wall of an old abandoned building. She watched the children playing foolishly as an evil smirk played across her lips. It was amusing to see the young and innocent act as such. Pretending to play with guns when they really had no realization to what a gun was. She shook her head lightly, sliding her hands into her cloak pockets slowly.
She was mainly biding her time until later tonight when it would come time to do her job. Until then she would keep an eye on the area, watching for other...troublemakers. She scanned the street non-chalantly and caught eye of a man who had walked outside into the open. She watched him out of the corner of her eye. He wasn't too suspicious... but she'd been here many time before and not seen someone like him.

As he was looking up at Babylon City and the clear blue sky that was ever so slowly growing darker he noticed some movement on a rooftop, his instincts automatically sending him sprinting toward the nearest cover directly under the person's position. The doorway to the building was only ten yards from him so he scuttled against the building, staying under the slight awning and out of line of sight until he spun into the doorway.
A stairwell... Need to get to the rooftop... he thought as his eyes darted around the fairly empty room, soon finding a small spiral stairwell and moving up it cautiously. The old, wooden staircase was rickety and extremely worn by age creaking with nearly every step. He moved as silently as he could until he reached the third story, then having no where else to go he tactically searched the rooms for another way up. After the fourth room, he found a trap door that would have lead to the roof.
Damn... No way I'm getting out there without being noticed. What can I... His eyes land on a pile of 2x4s in the corner, apparently left there to remodel this old, crumbling house. He moves over to the stack and takes a four foot long plank off the top before moving back to stand under the trapdoor. He cautiously uses the plank to push the small two and a half by two and a half foot door open, the light from outside much dimmer now than it was when he entered.

Asko watched as the man ran into the building underneath her. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she muttered under her breath.
"What the hell..." She leaned over the roof slightly to see no one there and automatically assume that he was inside. This was curious behavior and was to be noted. She reached her hand back behind her and unholstered her M-9 Semi-Automatic. Flicking off the safety, as it was already loaded, she backed away from the edge of the building and looked around. Her question was what the hell was he running from.
If it was her then he had mistaken her for someone else. She patiently waited for some sign of where he had gone.

He took his time meticulously sliding the trapdoor open until there was enough room for him to exit the building, but he waited to make sure that his entry had still gone smoothly. Moments passed and no one answered the silence, meaning only that the soft, dull scraping of the trap door against the roof went unnoticed by whomever was waiting on top. He deftly jumped up and caught hold of either side of the opening and pulled himself up and out onto the rooftop, looking for any movement that could be seen around him as he did so.
Across the roof and through a grate leaning against a small utility box he noticed the figure of a person. He took his time moving across the barren rooftop in the ever darkening evening until he reached the utility box, pressing himself up against it in a half crouched position. After a moment of watching what the figure was doing, at this time only appearing to watch the street still, he picked up a small stone and tossed it across the roof so to draw the person's attention. He crouched back on his haunches into a more comfortable position and focused on the moment at hand and the other person on the roof.
As he calmed his breath and began to concentrate, he was shocked to find that his body began to fade from view. This must have been what he was feeling earlier on... As he calmed himself more and more and his breathing became stable, his body faded completely from sight as he sat there in complete stillness.

Asko began to get annoyed to find that he was indeed willingly trying to get himself attention as he threw a rock across the roof. She took the gun and pointed it in the direction that it had come from. She made sure that no one on the ground could see them out of the corner of her eye as it would look very suspicious from a passer-by. She watched and waited for something in annoyance.
"Hello?" she saidm unsure as to whther she would get an answer or not.

A couple moments passed by as Melchior sat completely still, almost holding his breath so it would not be seen due to the cold night air until a female's voice spoke out. He shifted his eyes to peer as well as he could at the figure whom now appeared to be holding a weapon of some kind, the shape appeared to by that of a pistol or small sub machine gun. The sun was now just below the horizon, the sky in its state of confused half light painting dark oils and pastels across its canvas.
"Drop the weapon and slide it across the roof!" Melchior commanded from his covered position, still not moving more than his Shizukesa would allow for stealth. He waited, knowing that his voice gave away his position but it didn't matter to him because he was completely concealed even though out in the open.

Aso stood there in confusion as he demanded her to give up a weapon. She gained a look of disgust at this proposal.
"Give you my gun? Like hell I will! This is standard military issue and hard to come by I might add." She returned the handgun to its holster on her thigh and continued to stand there, looking at where the voice was coming from. She scanned the sky and realized it was getting a tad dark.
Asko was growing a bit annoyed as she looked at the watch on her wrist and realized that the target would reach his destinationin ten minutes. She sighed and looked back at where the voice was.
"Look buddy, I have no quarrel with you or I would've ran over there and shot you by now, or shot you from here." She continued to watch to see if he would come out from hiding and explain his behavior.

The female spoke again, this time contradicting herself in her own remark. Melchior automatically thought that this woman knew little of weapons and the use thereof or at least not as much as he. A hard to find standard military issue pistol? If it is standard issue, I'm sure it is not all too difficult to find. Especially through the right channels... he thought to himself, experience from the Shussei military and his father's business telling him more than what he needed to know about the extent of which this young woman knew about weapons.
After the sound of the holstering of a sidearm and a moment of silence, she spoke again. This time obviously perturbed, she spoke bluntly. "Keep your hands where I can see them. I'm coming out... Melchior says as he stands slowly, this action causing him to be seen again, and steps out from his cover, walking out to his left around the grate leaning against the utility box he was using as cover. He held his hands down by his sides in plain view. "What are you doing up here anyway? And what are you doing with weapons? What organization do you belong to?" he automatically commands, waiting now for an answer.

What she'd meant by a hard to find gun was that only those in the military had one. Which these days did not wander as she did. it was rare for a streetwalker as herself to carry that make. She smirked at his comment to keep her hands where he could see them. However, she wouldn't necessarily obey. She could easily kill him without a second thought, an unarmed man was no problem, especially from such a short distance.
However, she only killed those assigned and had no business with him. She chuckled at his nxt group of questions, as they were difficult to answer.
"What am I doing here? What are you doing here? What's with the weapons? That's my business. What organization? Hell, that's most definately confidential." She watched him. He seemed to give a lot of orders for stalking her in hiding.

"Amused, are we?" he says as he begins closing the short distance between them, taking long strides due to his long legs.
"I, for one, was just released from that clinic down the block and I have no idea how I got there. Two, I'm simply walking down the street and I see you lurking up here and assume that something is up because people don't just sit around on rooftops -- especially in Lowtown. Three, my training tells me that your sidearm there, just by the looks of it, is a military issue so you must be part of a military organization -- am I wrong? And four, combining numbers two and three speaks a lot for how suspect you are up here alone." he explains briefly before stopping about three feet from her.
"I'm an unarmed civilian, so I'm only guessing at these things, but I gave you straight answers so I'm expecting some from you." he says simply, hoping the darkness will cover the fact he is wearing dogtags around his neck.

She watched him intently as he answered her questions, something she hadn't suspected. Usually someone subject to her interrogation would simply walk away, this peaked her interest a bit.
"Hmm... I'm up here inspecting the area, simple. I have weapons because weapons kill people. What organization I belong to? Sadly enough I don't even know the name. It definately is in no association with the government to my knowledge unless the government has decided to dispose of those that they see as a threat illegally."
As he stopped in front of her she watched him closely, making sure to note any movements he might make in case of attack. He was one to talk about her being suspicious as he didn't even know how he ended up here.
"Well now that it seems we know why each other is here I assume there is little to discuss."

OOC: Sorry for lateness, been busy with schoolwork. I'll just finish it up now on my end really quick and simple like, k?
"Melchior, if we so happen to meet again." And with those last words, he lunges toward her spinning midstride so to face her again as he nimbly hops up on the ledge. He winks and Christ-falls backward into the darkness of the alley below.

Asko jumped back a bit, as her reflexes picked up his lunging rather quick. However as he veered off over the edge she just shook her head and walked off.
