Name: Dr. Sardac Lizix
Race: Human….technically
Class: Alchemist (Biological specialist)
Rank: Not listed
Aliases: Blood Boil Alchemist. Black Coat 7
Age: 36
Height: 6’2
Weight: 230
Hair: Black, slightly long, and combed back. Long, styled sideburns. Goatee and mustache.
Eyes: Brown
Sex: Male
Build: Fairly muscular, though not in any intimidating fashion. Not particularly toned either. Looks incredibly healthy, but does not seem to favor the extremes of healthy toned athleticism or bulky power.
Appearance: Wears a long, sleeveless black coat, with a red silk shirt underneath. Wears matching pants underneath. Hat has white plume. Wears normal boots on his feet. Body covered in tattoos of alchemic circles. Relatively pale skin at most times.
Personality: Considered by most as a very aloof individual, Sardac is very much a down to buisiness sort of person. He is very quick to deal with pleasantries, if he even bothers, and wants to get thing done thoroughly and quickly. This is usually seen as the way he wants to do it, which makes him a very bad team player if he is not in charge. He is known to be semi-sociable with long standing associates, though is still seen as terribly serious even in the most jovial of situations.
Sardac lives by a moral code of personal responsibility, implying that everyone is responsible for their own actions. Being under outside pressure for him in no exscuse for him as a reason to do something, and will punish people for such actions in situations. He finds those lacking in self-control and motivation generally distasteful. Despite this he believes in finding ones own morality and point ot view, respecting those who not only hold them but are willing to accept the consequences of their views, regardless of what they are.
He admires those who die for what they believe in, as long as they still believe it when their life ends.
Associated Organizations:
Formerly: Order of Alchemists 1st wing, 4th wing.
Currently: Order of Alchemists 2nd wing Medical Research Unit, The 5th wing (Unregistered)
Home Country: Bremelia
History:
Sardac began his most Bremelian children, though he lived relatively comfortably and was well educated. He was noted as a child for being a rather energetic child, which led to him to have plenty of energy for his noteworthy pursuits, and plenty more for his troublemaking. He also had a unuaslly big appetite. Besides this point he lived a fairly normal life, taking the course that their life normally did.
When it came time for Sardac to prepare, the rambunctious child of yesterday turned into a driven youth, he decided to pursue a career in the famous Order of Alchemists. This was a sudden, and most though foolhardy, decision, but Sardac studied hard and managed to get a job within the organization. He spent a few years bouncing around the organizations many sub-divisions, eventually ending up in a 1st wing research unit that studied biology records and such information from the past. It was at this time his unusual amount of energy and appetite were noticed by researches. They asked if they could perform some tests on him, and he consented.
What was revealed would change the course of Sardac’s life forever. Though he had shown little interest in the art of transmutation itself, more interested in academic pursuits, he had the single largest recorded source of natural energy the surviving records showed. A higher record probably existed in lost records, if some historical documents are to be trusted, but he is still has the greatest stamina of any living alchemist. He was immediately inducted into 5th division training, and started on the track to becoming a “black coat”. He was 15 at the time.
As he begun his training, his once amazing potential began to see some draw backs. The first of which was that the source of his amazing reservoir of energy was revealed. He had a dangerously active metabolism, and it was shown to be destroying his body. While the life expectancy of a fully assigned black coat is a handful of years on average, the chance that he wouldn’t live to teach later alchemists was viewed poorly upon by instructors. The second was that despite his the amount of energy he had, he was incapable of properly controlling huge amounts. In short, while he may have possibly of had the energy to perform a human transmutation, he would never be able to wield it to do so.
Sardac, not one to quit due to bad news, took action to stop these horrid turn of events. He began to study medicine again, hoping to prolong his life as much as possible. The second thing he did, mostly to compete with the other students, was begin to exercise precise alchemy over large scale alchemy. Years of practice culminated in a single night when he tried what is possibly his single greatest achievement in alchemy. In a single flash of alchemic light, Sardac lifted the death sentence from himself from his condition, improving his body through extremely precise alchemy. He, once viewed as a lost cause, had become the center of attention thanks to literally rebuilding himself.
Investigation showed many changes to Sardac’s biology from his experiment. He had managed to reverse his condition, becoming a superior physical specimen than a human. He also lessened his limit on using his abilities, though considering how specialized he had become at minor use it was considered rather lightly. He had, however, reduced the ability for him to regain alchemic energy. His standard generation was no longer enough; he would only get energy back from eating high energy food and sleeping, as these tipped the balance in his favor one way or another. Sardac addressed this point by alchemically creating special food tablets for himself, but he has replaced one weakness for another.
Sardac began to study his biological alchemy further, and found that his new body was more susceptible to alchemic reaction than the old one. For someone with his unique medical knowledge, this gave him the edge he needed over his fellow students. At age 18, he replaced a dead black coat and took the title of Black Coat 1. He has worked for over a two decades now in his service as a 5th wing operative, now under the title of Black Coat 7. He works under the cover of the Order of Alchemists premier medical researcher by day, creating new advances in the field of medicine. If he actually bothered to teach his alchemy to others, everything they’d currently be working on would be obsolete.
Weapon of Choice: Sardac’s weapon of choice, when he believes he will need it, is Relic Tres. Though it is believed to only be 8th in combat ability, this weapon is ranked as the third most dangerous to land in the hands of an outsider, namely Shussei Incoporated. It is an ancient blade, notable for being almost hypnotically dark. The process of which it was created has yet to be understood, as there has yet to be any progress in removing even a sliver of the material from the blade. Believed to be a mixture of magical smelting and advanced science, the process created a blade that will not dull or break from use. It was decided that Sardac would protect this Relic because his position within the order made it easy to hide such an obvious weapon from the public, and because his superior strength makes him able to wield it effectively.
If this material were captured by a member of Shussei and massed produced into its already powerful technology, it would lead to a sever unbalance in Terra’s power.
Fighting Style:
Sardac’s fighting style is using precision use of alchemy on his own body to greatly enhance his physical abilities over time. While he is already extremely capable physically due to the many changes he has permanently made to his body of the years, he can further enhance his abilities by using his alchemy. This helps him counteract science, magic, and other alchemists, as only he can manipulate his own body. He cannot constantly maintain these abilities though, as they drain his energy reserves. Since he cannot regain his energy by simply refraining from use, he must use them wisely. This is exaggerated by the fact that each power tends to limit some other part of his anatomy. Though his enhanced body has more matter in it than most, and his alchemically enhanced food is often packed in his stomach, he is still bound by equivalent exchange.
To use his alchemy on his body, the circle needs to be one his body itself. He accomplishes this with tattoos all over his body, forming the circles he needs by connecting piece of his body together then channeling energy through it. The time period for which the ability lasts varies from which ability is used.
He is also a competent swordsman, though the sword is often abandoned in favor of certain abilities. He has absolutely no proficiency with fire arms, not having much to do with them in his line of work and never finding such uncontrolled chemical reaction appealing to his tastes.
These abilities include:
Iron skin- His most easily wielded ability, he increase the density of several elements in his skin to increase its density, drawing it from other source if necessary. These results in his skin growing darker, and the shades of which show the level of protection. If he develops a tan, he can take a punch without fear. If he starts to appear brown, he can take a blow from a blade or bullets, and if he is black he can most assaults. The circle for this one in ingrained on the back of his wisdom teeth, and is complete when he pushed them together
The power has its side effects though. It drastically inhibit his maneuverability as the skin get darker, so the darker the gets the slower he becomes. He can take a hit, but he has to take if he uses this technique in most cases. The range of control from this move also originates from his pushing his wisdom teeth together. This means his ability to communicate while using this is limited. Though it quickly dissipates when the process is stopped, it does take some time to grow to certain extremes. Unless he is on guard for an attack, there is a good chance that powerful blows will break through before his instinctive reaction to clench his teeth (hence the placement there) will be enough to the entire force.
Also, if he is caught unaware, he cannot begin this technique at all.
Iron Fist- Using the same process as iron skin, the mineral deposits are instead stored on his knuckles, protruding from the skin. This allows him to punch rather hard, cutting shallowly into skin as he does so. He is even capable of stopping blades with them. The circle is complete by him placing one of his hands on top of the other.
The deposits cause his hands to lose their dexterity, so and precise movement becomes impossible. It also cuts into the same supplies as Iron Skin, so that move cannot be used to it’s fullest. He is also incapable of holding anything.
Circle of Life- Activated by placing both hands on his chest, this reaction allows him to heal wounds on his body. It is not precise enough to heal damage to vital organs or his nervous system, but can counteract blood loss and cuts.
This move uses up a good deal of his energy though, and is incredibly inefficient by its standards. While he is capable of doing much more with less energy preparation, he must instead use this ready made solution during combat.
Strong Arm- located on the sides of his shoulders, completed when placing a hand on it, this drastically increases his strength for a very brief period of time, and usually enough for a single movement once the hand is removed.
This move, when used more than a single motion, requires the hand to be placed there.
Hawk eyes- A rather simple reaction, cause by placing both hands on the temples. The reaction causes his eyes to change structure, seeing in different spectrums, over further distances, and over simple improvements.
Due to the not singular use of this reaction, it takes a good deal of time to perform. Though it can increase the amount of information he takes it, it cannot increase the speed in which his brain processes it. The move also does not revert back to normal over time when the circle is removed. He must manually change it back to his original sight.
Blood Boil- This circle is complete by placing his hand underneath his throat. It briefly brings his metabolism back up to its original levels, except with his enhanced body it can handle the strain without damage. It enhances his senses, his reaction and thinking time and his physical movement exponentially. It last for a few minutes after the circle is finished.
This move is the most draining of all the circles possible, as his enhanced metabolism combined with his enhanced body is too much to handle. It can only be done a few times before he passes out. He cannot use Iron skin to the full extent while in this form, as it inhibits his movements.
Overload- Very rarely used, and not done so without an ally to carry him away. Placing his hand on the bottom of his neck to complete a body-wide circle; Sardac activates all his abilities at once. The reaction continues until he loses enough energy to lose consciousness. All of the abilities balance out, as the limited Iron Skin from Blood Boil is used for Iron Fist. His wounds also heal as he fights. Still, his energy reserves are usually drained at triple Blood Boil speeds, so he may end up running out of time. This usually means he is perfectly healed, unconscious, and waiting to be killed.
Strengths:
- Sardac is in exceptional physical shape, with almost all physical abilities well above par. He can enhance them either further through his alchemy, reaches super-human levels.
- He is a competent swordsman, and has a very reliable blade to use
- Though specializing in biological alchemy, he is still capable of the mundane variety.
- Sardac is capable of healing minor wounds in combat.
Weaknesses
- Sardac’s abilities require him to be rather close to his enemy to be effective.
- Sardac’s special alchemy is very tiring, and nullifies his high stamina when used.
- Though skilled, Sardac must rely on his physical strengths to win fights, rather than any competent techniques.
- Sardac must sleep or eat to regain any energy; he cannot gain it from simple rest.
- Sardac’s normal alchemy is notably small scale, and he cannot perform large feats with it.
- Sardac's alchemey is highly repetitve, allowing people to easily determin what powers he is going to as he activates them.
Notice:
Sardac looks a few years younger than he is. This is due to his alchemy slowing his aging. He also looks lighter than he actually is, thanks to his different body structure and extra materials he keeps inside himself. His hair s also always in style, as his scalp has been altered so that it grows naturally into the style.
