Name: Takai Eiga
Nicknames: "Bandit King", "The Water Devil"
Race: Human
Class: Water Mage
Age: 23
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 160
Hair: Silvery-blue, wings out to the sides at the front, while falling down at the sides and back. Reaches roughly to his shoulders in length.
Eyes: Blue
Sex: Male
Build: Slender, but well shaped. The muscles are well defined, but not large in the slightest, giving Takai the appearence of being much younger than he truly is.
Appearance: Wears a gold headband with a sapphire in the centre, a keepsake from his mother. Dressed most often in his armor, silver leather which covers his torso, as well as leather bracers to protect his forearms/hands. Underneath the armor, his arms have gloves that extend past his elbows, as well as a black muscle shirt, pants, and boots. Such armor was stolen from Lucian caravans, and the clothing underneath was taken from Shussei merchants.
Personality: Rage incarnate. His hatred for everything leads him to be cruel, rude, and otherwise despicable to any and all he encounters. The only reason Takai has ever spared someone's life is to use them to spread more suffering. Mistreats even those bandits who are most loyal to him, often physically abusing them for no apparent reason.
Home Country: Lucia. Currently living in North Umberlands.
History:
Born into the Eiga Household in the city of Trance of the Lucian Empire, Takai had begun his life with all the advantages in the world. From an early age, his father taught him how to use Water magic, noticing Takai's incredible potential. Yet, the young boy wanted none of it, only desiring to enjoy his childhood as every other young person did. The other children, however, would not accept the prodigy-in-the-making, fearing his skills and jealous of his rich upbringing. As a result, Takai found himself alone, and every time he was teased or bullied, Takai would draw in water from his surroundings, forming a bubble around himself to comfort and protect him the only way he knew how.
His father, however, disapproved of the boy's perceived weakness, and set out to correct it. He began to beat Takai when the child failed at something, and as time went on, the beatings became more and more severe. Eventually, they became so severe that Takai's mother tried to intervene, causing his father to hit her as well. Such an event was beginning to traumatize the poor child, who instinctually did what he always did, pulling nearby water to himself in order to form his protective bubble.
The nearest water, however, happened to be within his parents bodies.
Needless to say, Takai's parents did not survive such an event. Horrified, the boy fled his home, running from the town and heading east, as far as he possibly could. His water magic saved his life several times, killing animals and feeding him when he required it, though he always kept the water taken from his parents with him in a tank on his back. Alone for so long, Takai began to obsess over the water, believing it to contain the souls of his parents, constantly protecting him and fighting for him.
Eventually, the young man fled east far enough to reach the North Umberlands. Besieged by a pack of bandits, Takai ruthlessly murdered all but one, the last pleading for his life and begging for a chance to serve the Water Mage. While Takai was contemplating whether to finish the job, the current leader of the bandits happened across this very scene. Enraged at the loss of his followers, he attacked Takai, sealing his fate. When the blood finally stopped raining from the sky, the remaining vagabonds fell to their knees, swearing allegiance in return for their lives to be spared, and earning Takai the nickname "The Bandit King."
Weapon of Choice: Water. Carries a large tank of water on his back, which when filled weighs roughly four hundred pounds. However, using his magic, Takai is able to hold the tank up rather easily.
Fighting Style: Long range water attacks. While there are certain methods Takai favours in order to kill his opponents, such as drowning or crushing them, there is no true pattern or style he follows. Just instinct. When there is little water for him to use, Takai tends to pull moisture out of the very environment, whether it be from the air, the clouds, an underground spring, or even the water in a creature's body.
Strengths: The psychotic mentality Takai has instilled within him gives him a unique bond with the water element. He sees it as an extension of his body, and is able to use it as such, in almost all forms that water can take. As such, even the most complicated of attacks are easily performed by simply using his willpower, to the point where it is rare for Takai to even have to move when using his magic.
Weaknesses: Such reliance on his water, however, has left Takai with little options should his magic fail to defeat his opponent. His body is frail, and personal injuries cause him to overreact. Has Thanatophobia (fear of death), and is unable to generate his own water, forcing him to use what is around him.
Notice: Despite his mastery of the water element, Takai is unable/unwilling to pull water out of another human's body, no matter the reason. As he himself puts it, "Their very soul rejects me.", though whether this is true, or it is due to his history is unknown.
